Christmas fair to be held in Ccpur

Lamka, Dec 15: Though intermittent fights and petty bickerings used to occur amongst brothers, they usually stand united ultimately. This is paritcularly true in the case of Kuki-Zomis.

After that bitter experience of 1997 events and more so after the Suspension of Operation, SoO, was signed on the 23rd Aug 2008 by each of their groups they are on the road to complete peace, progress and development.

To enhance the process of harmony that is limping back and for the first of its kind in the district an Advent Christmas-cum-Musical Extravaganza will be held at Public Ground on the 23rd of this month.

The programme is being organised by the 3rd (NH) Assam Rifles and for all other works and contributions the SoO groups will be responsible.

The extravaganza will feature all the renown artistes of Churachandpur town and Mizoram including attraction for Christmas feelings in which Santa Claus will give away Christmas gifts to all children.

A good number of stalls will be opened at the concert venue and NGOs like Love in Action are assisting the organisers and for all kinds of incentives and other expenditures the KNO/KNA and UPF will donate.
