ADC Bill

IMPHAL, Mar 31: The Cabinet has decided to discuss the Manipur Hill Areas Autonomous District Council Bill, 2008 with members of the Hills Area Committee tomorrow, pending a discussion of the said Bill in the one day Assembly session scheduled for April 3.

The decision to discuss the Bill tomorrow was taken during a meeting of the Cabinet held today evening, said a source and added that the Cabinet minutely discussed the details of the Bill with some pointing out certain loopholes. The Cabinet thoroughly discussed whether the Bill should be withdrawn from the House or a fresh one drafted, said the source. Significantly, the Speaker of the Assembly had earlier referred the Bill to a Select Committee, prompting the hill MLAs to stage a walk out during the Budget session recently. After the Select Committee submitted its report, the same was referred to the HAC for their approval. Meanwhile a public consultation meeting held today at Kuki Inn here has flatly rejected the report of the Select Committee on the Manipur Hill Areas Autonomous District Council Bill 2008 that was placed before the State Assembly on March 19, conveyed an ATSUM release. Members present in the meeting also expressed indignation over alleged infringement upon rights of hill peoples by the State Assembly. In case justice is not done when the matter is tabled again in the House on April 3, ATSUM will not hesitate to launch a mass tribal movement, it warned.

Blood money

Money is a wonderful things. If it is used in proper way, it is helpful. But it is used in wrong way it is harmful. So let us earn money in the right way as well as spend it in the same. In this world, a some people due to their unconscious mind earn money by the way of murder or, butcher, Earning money by brutally is a sin and also against humanity. That money what we term as "Blood Money" the same case was happened in the life of Lord Jesus Christ. Let us recap from the gospel according to Mathew.

One of the twelve disciples- the one named Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and asked, "what will you give me if I betray Jesus to you?" They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to him. From then on Judas was looking for a good chance to hand Jesus over to them. Jesus was still speaking when Judas arrived. With him was large crowd armed with swords and clubs and sent by the chief priests and the elders. The traitor has given to crowd a signal: "The man I kiss is the one you want. Arrest him!" Judas, went straight to Jesus and said, "Peace be with you, Teacher", and kissed him. Jesus answered, "Be quick about it, friend!" Then they came up, arrested Jesus and held him tight. Then all the disciple left him and ran away. Those who had arrested Jesus took him to the house of the High Priest where the teacher of the law and the elders had gathered together. The chief Priest and the whole council tried to find some false evidence against Jesus to put him to death; but they could not find any, even though many people came forward and told lies about him. Finally, two men stepped up and said, "This man said, I am able to tear down God's Temple and three days later build it up again". The High Priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Have you no answer to give to this accusation against you?" But Jesus kept quite. Again the High Priest spoke to him, "In the name of the living God I now put you on oath: tell us if you are the Messiah, the son of God/" Jesus answered him, "So you say". At this the High Priest tore his clothes and said, "Blasphemy! We don't need any more witnesses! You have just heard his blasphemy! "All the chief priests and the elders made their plans against Jesus to put him to death. They put him in chains, led him off and handed him over to Pilate, the Roman governor. When Judas, the traitor, learnt that Jesus had been condemned, he repeated and took back the thirty silver coins to the chief priest and the elders. "I have sinned by betraying an innocent man to death" he said. "What do we care about that?" they answered. "That is your business!" Judas threw the coins down in the Temple and left; then he went off and hanged himself. The chief priest picked up the coins and said," This is Blood Money, and it is against our law to put it in the temple treasury." After reaching an agreement about it, they used the money to buy Potter's Field, as a cemetery for foreigners. That is why that field is called "Field of Blood" to this very day.
