Women’s reservation top priority in CPI manifesto

Imphal, Apr 11: Women’s reservation of 33 percent will be included in the Assembly and Parliament and education would be given the topmost priority, said Langol Iboyaima, state secretary CPI at the releasing function of the CPI election manifesto at the Irawat Bhawan for the forthcoming 15th Lok Sabha elections. He further said that there was the possibility of the arrival of a Third Front. Regarding the NREGS scheme, the party would try to expand more to the rural areas as also in the urban areas, he added.

Healthcare sector would be given more importance and the party would try to remove all discrimination especially to uplift the minority groups, he said while adding that relationship with Centre must be taken seriously as the Centre has a great role in decision making.

Sotin Kumar, the CPI chairperson who also attended today’s function said that there was the possibility of a Third Front. Public should contribute in the decision making process, he said adding that the party would not remain silent against those who defy the code of conduct.

The manifesto said five years ago people believed India shone becauseof BJP and NDA rule.

But, voters soon realised how reactionary and communal the BJP was and threw it out of power.
In desperation the BJP began attacking minorities and also came up with their old slogan known as ‘Hindutva’.

The Congress too in its five year in power has come to believe it is invincibile. It seems to think India is developed and successful under its rule.

However, the people have seen through the new capitalism the Congress is bringing in which gives benefits to only to the upper crust of the society. It today virtually worships the market economy it said. The Congress also increased imbalance within society it said.

Some people have become billionaire while more than 84 crores of people are earning Rs 20 per day, it said. The economic policy of the Congress has affected adversely the status of our nation, unity, social status etc it said.

To save the country from such destructive ways the CPI has been struggling for a lever in the 15th Lok Sabha election.

The CPI has stood to bring economic development as well as to strengthen the social justice in the land and have been fighting for the people, workers, farmers, for the people working in the public sectors, government’s employees, students and youths and the women are also finghting against the imperialist globalization, privatization and beyong liberalization.

Today, the whole worlds have come to their senses that, the market is not a place for social justice. So, instead of market economy a new vision was started for socio economy system.
The CPI also promised to face against such activities.

Bringing development on agriculture, employment, industries, social and physical infrastructures i.e schools, hospitals, roads and bridges, social welfare and providing benefits to the working people on eduation and health were the main development program of the CPI.

Such development program would help in saving money in the pockets of the working people and would also help in developing domestic markets.

It would be more better to implement on our economy instead of giving it to the corporators.
