Lamka, Jul 19: Saying the people have waited enough, Churachandpur District Students’ Union today called for an early solution on the stand-off between local contractors and Government.
A statement of the union issued today drew the attention of both the IFC Department and the registered agency/contractors on the setback of Khuga Multipurpose Project bump-onto as a result of the squabble.
Further, the statement said ‘any stand-off at this time, when the project is in its final stage will not only delay the project but further deny the people of any benefits the project has in store.’ ‘We have waited for long; any stand-off between the Government and its registered agency of workforce (the contractors) should not make our wait any longer. The people should not be victimized by this internal confrontation,’ it added.
