IMPHAL, Jul 22 : Reacting to the statement of the Zou People’s Army and which was published in the July 22 edition of this paper under the caption, ‘ZPA accuses’, the United Kuki Liberation Front today refuted the charges of the ZPA that it had decimated Zou villages.
In a statement, the outfit said that the UKLF stands for the people where all Kuki communities are living and added that it does not believe in killing among themselves.
Dubbing the statement as false and baseless, the outfit said that its main objective is re-unite all 22 tribes.
UKLF also questioned how and when it tortured a father and so of the Zous and asked the leaders of ZPC/ZPA to clarify on the matter. The outfit also advised the ZPA that if they want to protect only the Zou people, they can protect but not in the UKLF areas of jurisdiction.
The statement added that outfit welcomes the challenge of the ZPA anytime, anywhere as it stands for re-unification of Kuki Nation.
The ZPA will not be allowed in the area of the UKLF, it said and warned that it will not spare anyone who supports and works for the ZPC/ZPA without further warning.
