(Joint Press Statement of All India Christian Council, All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations and NE Support Centre & Helpline on Imphal Terror Blast on October 21, 2008)

All India Christian Council, All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations and NE Support Centre & Helpline condemn Imphal Terror blast. There is no place for terror among civil society.

Terror strike at state capital of north east India state Manipur on Tuesday, leaving 17 deaths and 30 injured has left the state panic and added havoc in trouble torn state.

State President of All India Christian Council, Manipur, Rev. N. Nipamcha, condemns the terror strike, which has cause the lost of life, injury and lost of property. “Terror has no place among the civil society, terror will bring no solution to the decades old problems of the state,” says Rev. Nipamcha.

Hearing upon the socking news about terror blast in Imphal, New Delhi base human rights activist and spokes person of NE Support Centre & Helpline, Mr. Madhu Chandra condemns the incident. “All civil society must come out in open condemnation of terror blast, which has caused the panic of the communities in the state,” say Mr. Chandra.

All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations’ Manipur state president, Mr. Dilip Kshetriya, also condemns the incident and appeal to all section of society to maintain peace and harmony among all societies.
