ZPC cadre held in Paldai village

IMPHAL, Jan 14: Troops of 8 Assam Rifles launched operation in the general area of Paldai village and arrested one ZPC cadre yesterday. The cadre has been identified as Paolanthan (36) of Paldai village of Sajik Tampak. He has been handed over to Imphal Police Station, said a press of PRO Hqs IGAR(S).


Inaugurated

IMPHAL, Jan 14: MLA of Chandel A/C Thangkholun today inaugurated newly constructed market shed at L Thinggaiphai village and a new building of the Christian English Higher Secondary School at Sugnu Langching in Chandel district.

The market shed has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7 lakhs with funding from MAHUD while the school building at an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh under the Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF).

AR recruitment rally at Pallel

IMPHAL, Jan 14: An Assam Rifles recruitment rally for different posts will be held from January 16 to 22 at Pallel for enrolment of male candidates between the age of 18 to 23 years for the posts of Nb/Sub (bridge and road) - one (Matric and equivalent with diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institute for Bridge and Road), PA (steno) - one (10+2 or equivalent from recognised Board with shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and type writing 40 words), Clerk (Havildar)- seven (10+2 or equivalent with English and Mathematics, typing speed 30 words per minute in English or 25 words in Hindi), Plumber - twelve (Matric with diploma/certificate from ITI in trade from recognised institute), Pharmacist - two (Matric or equivalent with two years diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institute), Electrician - five (Matric with diploma/certificate from ITI in trade from recognised institute), Lineman field - two (Matric with diploma/certificate from ITI in trade from a recognised institute), Electrical Fitter Signal (EFS) - two (Matric with English and Mathematics and Science with Physics), Blacksmith - one (Matric with diploma/certificate from ITI in trade from recognised institute) and Riflemen General Duty/General Duty Driver - 94 (Matric pass). Vacancy allotted for SC - five, ST - 54, OBC - 06, and General - 62.

For Ex-servicemen (Group C), recruitment will be held for the posts of Clerk - one, Plumber - one. Electrician - one, EFS - one and Riflemen (General Duty) - 12.

Eligible candidates are required to fill up the prescribed application form and present at the rally venue alongwith certificates, testimonials in original.
