IMPHAL, Mar 3: Decrying the killing of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan and this two subordinate staff by armed cadres of the NSCN (IM) and disposing their bodies at Taphou Kuki village area in Senapati district as an act of instigating misunderstanding among the people, Kuki Inpi, Sadar Hills; Kuki Women’s Union, Sadar Hills and Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Sadar Hills have demanded the killers to perform the Kuki customary ritual of Toltheh (cleaning the village).
In a joint statement, information and publicity secretary of KSO Sadar Hills Thangboi Hmar stated that Kukis would not remain quiet if the said customary ritual is not duly performed by the killers. Thangboi also appealed to all concerned not to carry out any anti-social activi-ties or crimes in Kuki areas as the Kukis stand and live for communal harmony and peaceful co-existence.

IMPHAL, Mar 3 : Exerting pressure on the State Government to punish the killers of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan and his two subordinate staff, civil society organisations of Thoubal district have unanimously decided to boycott the forthcoming 15th Lok Sabha election if the Government fails to do so.
This decision was taken among others during a joint meeting of the various civil society organisations of the district at the ground of YASTA in Thoubal Wangmataba today.
Organised under the joint auspices of JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Dr Th Kishan, A Rajen Sharma and Y Token and the Apunba Lup, the meeting was held with co-ordinator of the Apunba Lup K Phulindo; president of People’s Welfare Forum, Thoubal AK Memcha, president of Kanglamei Y Leirik Leima, president of Momnu Erikkhombi Lup AK Janaki and president of Chingmi-Tammi Lup S Momon Leima as presidium members.
Resolutions adopted during the meeting today include punishment of the NSCN (IM) cadres involved in the brutal killing, initiating criminal proceedings against the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul Pankaj Kumar Pal for his alleged connivance in the killing, to produce the three other officials who have been abducted along with Dr Kishan but claimed to have been rescued by the Government in front of the public and to make public the report of the inquiry being conducted by the Government into the killing.
In case all these demands are not implemented by the Government, the meeting further resolved to boycott the forthcoming 15th Lok Sabha election.
Furthermore, the meeting resolved to support the ongoing agitation being spearheaded jointly by the JAC and the Apunba Lup in protest against the triple murder and to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India through Governor Gurbachan Jagat in this regard.
All those who spoke at the meeting observed that the act of killing the three Government officials while on duty was against humanity and should be condemned by all. Decrying the manner of the State Govt in handling the issue, the speakers called upon the Govt to listen to the voice of the people as the voice of the God and take up necessary lesson to teach a lesson to NSCN (IM). The speakers also called upon the people to prepare themselves for any eventuality in fighting for the cause of justice.
Meanwhile, members of Nambul Mapan Sanajamu-dan Nupi Lup staged a Wakat Meepham at Kei-shampat Tiddim Road here today demanding punishment of the killers of Dr Kishan and his two subordinate staff. Placards with inscribed with slogans decrying the involvement of NSCN (IM) in the triple murder were used during the protest demonstration.
