DoNER dy secy in state to assess projects

IMPHAL, Aug 31: Deputy secretary, LT Tlunga of the department of north east region, DoNER arrived in Imphal today on a five-day visit to the state for spot physical assessment of the projects undertaken with funds under the Non-lapsable Central Pool of Resources, NLCPR.

As soon as he arrived in Imphal he inspected the bridges at Lamlong, Keishamthong, Singjamei, Kyamgei Mang Mapa etc. located within the Imphal area today, reports said.

He will proceed to Churachandpur district and assess the water supply schemes zone-I, II and III and construction of Rengkai Government High School which have been taken up under funding from the NLCPR.

On September 2, he is scheduled to visit water supply schemes phase-II at Awang Potshangbam in Imphal west, Mao, Maram, Tadubi, Senapati water supply schemes and construction of 33 Kv sub-station at Maram in Senapati district.

Deputy secretary Tlunga will also inspect the water supply schemes taken up at Irilbung, Imphal east, construction of bridges at Heirok, Chingdongpok and Babu bazar in Thoubal district on September 3.

On the last day (on September 4) of this visit, he will hold a meeting with the state chief secretary Rakesh and state principal secretary (planning), DS Poonia separately.

IMPHAL, Aug 31: A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Manipur legislative Assembly will be held on September 12 to discuss the business of the House to be transacted during the fourth session of the 9th Manipur legislative Assembly which the state Governor summoned on October 1.
