ZSF praised the collective leadership of the UPF-KNO

LAMKA, Sep 9: Saying that it is a matter of hope and satisfaction that Centre and State Government have inked SoO with UPF and KNO, ZSF praised the collective leadership of the UPF-KNO for their wisdom, sighted vision and maturity in this connection. ZSF also wished to proceed with the negotiation smoothly and expeditiously. Welcoming the development, ZSF also expressed hope for a workable solution with logical conclusion to the political aspiration of the margina-lised ethnic people.

Deadline extended

IMPHAL, Sep 9: In connection with the demand to review fund allocation under district common fund, Kuki People’s Forum, Chan-del has extended the dead- line fixed for September 10 to September 18 as the DC requested for some more time and space for proper verification. Maintaining that it would closely watch the outcome in this regard, the forum warned that it would initiate agitations if no positive response is seen within the given date.

Civil servants

IMPHAL, Sep 9: State Govt has made changes in the postings of three civil servants according to an order issued yesterday. Kamjong SDO Pradeep Ku-mar Jha has been trans- ferred as SDO Saikul, while Ukhrul AC to DC Dr K Shyamsun-der Singh will be the Kamjong SDO. Saikul SDO T Manihar has been sent as AC to DC in Senapati.

Tata Sumo service suspended

IMPHAL, Sep 9: JAC Imphal-Moreh Road Transporters suspended Tata Sumo operations along Imphal-Moreh road from today condemning torching of Tata Sumo (AS 017-6436) at Lilong Mairel Khun by the Fund Rising in-charge central zone of KCP Wanglen Group yesterday. Demanding adequate security arrangement along the road and compensation to the owner of the torched vehicle, the transporters warned the Government that all types of transport service will be suspended if these demands are not met.
