KNF (S) not to collect fund due to mautam

LAMKA, Dec 3: Kuki National Front (S) today announced that it will restrain from collecting general fund of Rs. 50 and one tin of paddy from every household from next year in view of the Mautam famine.

A decision to this effect was made by the central working committee of the outfit on December 1, said a release that also pledged to do whatever that are necessary to save the hungry masses from the jaws of death. It has also requested all to be alert and inform the outfit if anyone attempted to collect the said fund.

IGAR (S) visits Ccpur

IMPHAL, Dec 3: IGAR (south) Major General AK Choudhury along with his better half Madhuri Choudhary, who is also the president of ARWWA visited the 27 sector Assam Rifles, Churachandpur and select NGOs of the town on December 1 and 2, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.

While AK Choudhury visited headquarters 27 Sector AR and reviewed operational and administrative situation of the district, Madhuri interacted with wives of the troops, visited Love in Action children home in Saikot as well as the SHALOM Hospice, New Lamka, the PRO release informed. 27 Sector AR under IGAR (S) has been in Chu-rachandpur since March 2000 and since then the district has been peaceful, it said

Written test

IMPHAL, Dec 3: The written test of all the candidates of all districts including other States who have qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for recruitment of Riflemen in MR/IRB held at MPTS, Pangei scheduled to be held at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium on December 4 has been postponed to December 13.

IMPHAL, Dec 3: Manipur People’s Party (MPP) has informed that interested party leaders may submit application form for nomination of party candidate for Moirang A/C by-election by 3 pm of December 12. Application forms and related documents are available between 10 am and 3 pm at party office.

IMPHAL, Dec 3: Manipur Police Department has vacancies of 32 Sub-Inspectors and 10 Assistant Sub Inspectors (female/civil). Intending candidates may submit application forms at respective Employment Exchanges by December 18.
