Manipur handicrafts exhibition in New Delhi from Dec 26

NEW DELHI, Dec 25 : The Crafts and Social Development Organization (CSDO), Kongba in Imphal east district is organizing a 10-day Manipur Handicrafts Exhibition at Balram Gupta exhibition hall, H/No. 236, Satya Niketan, Moti Bagh here from December 26 to January 4 under the sponsorship of the office of the development commissioner (handicrafts), ministry of textiles, government of India.

During the exhibition, master craftspersons from Andro, Nungbi and Kongba of Manipur will give live demonstration programme on terracotta and pottery crafts, Kouna (water Reed) crafts, water hyacinth crafts, cane and bamboo crafts etc.

Manipuri handicraft products like black pottery crafts of Nungbi village, terracotta and rare pottery crafts of Andro village, cane and bamboo crafts, Kouna (water reed) crafts and artistic tribal textiles will be on sale during the 10-day exhibition.
The inaugural function of the exhibition will be held on December 26 at 3 pm at the venue. The stalls will be open from 10 am to 8 pm daily. Entry into the exhibition is free.
