The United Zou Organisation, Gen. Head Quarters Information and Publicity Secretary. Mr. T. Khamminlun Zou told the admin that UZO GHQ is organising an Interecting Tour in its blocks and units from January 31, 2009 to February 21, 2009. The tour will be headed by Its General President, Mr. T. Hangkhanpao, an MLA from Singngat Assemply Constituency in Churachandpur District of Manipur State.
He will be accompanied by his cabinets and colleagues. The Information and Publicity Secretary further inform that this tour is organised with the purpose of collecting the living conditions of the Zou people, for the purpose of preaching peace and harmony among the people and etc.
The details tour road maps will be available in the next few hours.
Mention may be made here that in the 1960s and 70s, when the General President of the UZO GHQ visits its units or blocks, they were welcomed with all kinds of applause, gaieties. They were given the most respects which is equivalent to these days' Presidents or Prime Ministers of India gets. They were welcome with traditional dances, a good number of animals were killed and a huge feast were thrown. A huge welcome gates were erected by the village people with a traditional attaires.
