The Nagas would observe Jan 31 as Black Day

In the next generation the Eastern Nagas or other Nagas would observe the 31st January as black Day. Because as consequence of formation of the so-called NSCN on 31st January 1980, the Eastern Nagas lost hundreds of their people, their homes and properties, which by no mean eras in the history. Also almost all Regions of Nagaland lost their leaders and dear and near ones in the cruel hands of our own Nagas. And hundreds of house wives became widows and thousand children became fatherless or orphans. If the NSCN did not form, the Nagas might not kill each other and nothing might hamper our achievement.

The formation of NSCN was strongly opposed by Aos, Angamis, Chakhesangs, Khiamniungans, Shepoumaramths, and therefore their leaders were eliminated by socialist leaders in 1979, Khiamniungan Region was completely destroyed in 1980 and in 984 they destroyed Lainong. Other Naga communities like Chang, Phom, Pochury, Sangtam, Yimchunger, Rengma, Lotha, Zeliangrong, Amamch, Somra, Para, Makore people did not know the NSCN formation, and Heimi and Konyak people have been deceived as they are simple in nature and ignorance, so these people would say on one day that we don’t know why the NSCN was formed? Be it known, the NSCN is too new, young and wrong that cannot claim to uphold the right destiny of the Nagas if some few knows it.

NSCN (IM) responds on Rajamai-Chakha dispute

Dimapur, February 9 (MExN): A region of the outfit NSCN (IM) has clarified to the charge of partiality in a land dispute between Rajamai and Chakha villagers. A note from the “Maram-Thangal CAA” said its “goodwill mission” to curb communal clashes between the said sides, and “directives” of the outfit’s higher-ups banning “timber works” in the Chakha range “must be seen in the right perspective”.

The note stated that the “malicious intent” of Chakha villagers to “tarnish” the “image” of the Maram-Thangal CAA will “boomerang dire consequences upon them”. When the said CAA made a “spot-enquiry” from January 21 to the 23, it was found that the Chakha villagers had built bunkers and trenches, and guarding laborers “with sophisticated weapons”, the note claimed. The note said “six kartus” with 72 cartridges” and “one US carbine with 22 cartridges” were seized from them,” the “Maram-Thangal CAA” stated. The weapons were returned to them through one Khangbo, ‘khapur’ of the Zeliangrong region after signing an agreement between Rajamai and Chakha village authorities “not to continue timber works,” the note said.

The “CAA” clarified that “the team” during the “enquiry” neither assaulted anyone nor were timber and trucks burned. “Hence, the allegation of the Zeliangrong Land Preservation Committee is totally baseless and devoid of any truth,” it stated while warning “any group or organization” against ‘patronizing’ any of the disputing parties “on communal lines”.
