Aizawl, Dec 10 (PTI): PCC Chief Pu Lal Thanhawla will be sworn in as chief minister of Mizoram for the fourth time, at the Raj Bhavan here tomorrow by Governor M M Lakhera.
Official sources said only Lal Thanhawla, who would be the sixth chief minister of the state, would be sworn in.Earlier in the day, Lal Thanhawla, under whose leadership the party handed over the worst defeat to the Mizo National Front, was unanimously elected as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party.
He would be the first Mizo leader to be the chief minister for a fourth time.
Meanwhile, J H Rothuama, a veteran politician who defeated chief minister Zoramthanga in the Champhai North seat was appointed as Pro-tem Speaker and the new assembly would be constituted on Friday, Congress sources said. PTI
