ICHAM & KSO/CCP Dist distribute rice

IMPHAL, Dec 17: Information Centre for Hills Area, Manipur (ICHAM) and Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Churachandpur district have jointly distributed rice among the people settling along the Doyang and Kailam hill ranges of Henglep sub-division of Churachanpur district.

The rice was handed over to the villagers at KKL Godown located at Churachandpur district headquarters. In all 75 bags of rice each containing 50 kgs have been distributed. Speaking at the occa-sion, ICHAM president N Rajendro informed that as part of the campaign of touring the interior parts of the State to understand problems of the people, volunteer of ICHAM and KSO had visited Doyang and Kailam Hill rage from November 15 to 17. On finding that the people of the area have been facing food scarcity, the rice have been distributed today, he said.

KLO/KLA observes re-reformation day

IMPHAL, Dec 17 : The 9th Re-reformation day of KLO/KLA was observed along with unfurling the flag of the armed outfit by its commander in-chief Timothy at its Zion camp in Sadar Hills today.
Apart from paying tribute and homage to all the departed cadres of the outfit, the commander in-chief also presented cash reward to three cadres in recognition of their dedication and disci-pline during the observance function attended among others by home secretary of KLO/KLA Robinson Kuki, information and publicity secretary Addy Kuki, Church leaders and village chiefs.
Speaking at the occasion, the co- mmander in chief said KLO/KLA has been carrying out its activities with strict adherence to the ground rules of the Suspension of Operation.

The outfit has now sto- pped collecting donation from the people and indulging in other anti-social acti- vities. So if the public came across anybody coming to demand money or arresting people in the name of KLO/KLA, they may contact the outfit. The commander in chief further said that all the officials of the outfit have been carrying out their duties with due respect of the path shown by late Letkho-lun Lhang alias Lenin Kuki, who was the former commander in-chief of KLO/KLA. He also extended Chrstmas greetings to all.
