IMPHAL, Dec 13: Reacting to the report that the KNO/KLA has been abolished with the formation of KRF, the KNO/KLA asserted that the newly established outfit is only a split away faction of the KNO/KLA. A release issued by KNO/KLA’s information and publicity se- cretary Armstrong Kuki further alleged that self styled information and publicity secretary of the KRF is one Paul Gangte not Armstrong.
It also appealed to all concerned not to use ‘KLA’s Armstrong’ in future. Meanwhile, executive council of the KNO/KLA has been reconstituted with TK Kuki alias T Stephen Kuki as C-in-C, K Winson Kuki as Home Secretary, L Robinson Kuki as Defence Secretary, Simon Kuki as Central Administrative Officer, Ngambom Kuki as finance secretary, Arms-trong Kuki as Information and publicity secretary and T Bond Kuki as Public Relation Officer, added the release.

IMPHAL, Dec 12: Two hundred and fifty two posts of primary teachers are lying vacant in the District Council Chandel Autonomous District. Persons who have passed Higher Secondary or Pre-University exams and have registered with the District Employment Exchange, Chandel may contact the District Employment Officer between December 12 and 22 during office hours.

IMPHAL, Dec 12: To be participated by representatives from all the seven North Eastern States, the Ist Seven Sister Miss Barak, 2008 would be hosted at the public ground of Senapati district on on December 19.
Addressing a press con-ference in this connection at Manipur Press Club here today, Dr Joseph, convenor of Youth Hope Foundation, which is to host the event, said Miss Barak, 2008 con-test is being organised with the main objective of pro-moting the art and culture of all the people in the North East region and cordial relationship among them.
The winner of the Miss Barak, 2008 crown would be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and the first and the second runner up would be awarded Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively, he informed, adding that there would also be contest for four different subtitles.
